Bonjour!

I'm 21, an English major and a wannabe traveler.

Usually I attend the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. But this fall I'll be attending a language school in Quebec City and living with a host family.

This blog is one part school assignment, one part documentary and one part stream of consciousness. Aren't you excited?!

I've never traveled out of the country before which should explain why I'm excited about writing posts about the most mundane of details. (I've already written two posts about packing my bags.)

I'm hoping that this semester abroad will not only strengthen my French speaking skills but also help me to decide if I want to pursue a French minor or not. Depending on the day, I'm enthusiastic about either decision.

On the days I'm not crying into a French textbook or cramming for a French exam, you can find me drinking coffee, petting animals or playing with my camera.
